Routinity is an offline-first habit and focus tracker. The app is designed so your data is stored on your device and is not sent to developer-operated servers.
1. Overview
Offline-first2. Information We Process
Local app dataRoutinity stores information you create and use in the app, including:
- Habit data (name, color, active days, creation timestamp)
- Habit completion logs (habit ID, date, completion timestamp)
- Focus session data (start/end times, duration, preset label, completion status)
- Review data (daily rating, note text, update timestamp)
- App setting data (selected theme mode)
Routinity does not require account registration and does not collect direct identifiers like your name, phone number, or email through in-app forms.
3. How Information Is Collected
User inputInformation is collected:
- Directly from you when you enter habits, notes, ratings, and settings
- Automatically from app usage needed for features (for example, session timing and completion logs)
- From files you choose to import through the Android file picker
4. Storage and Processing Location
On-device- Primary app data is stored locally in a private SQLite (Room) database on your device.
- Theme preference is stored locally in SharedPreferences.
- Exported backups are created as JSON files in app cache before sharing.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
No selling- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not transmit your app data to developer-operated servers.
- No advertising SDKs are integrated.
- No analytics SDKs are integrated.
- No tracking technologies are integrated.
If you use export, data is shared only with the app(s) you choose in the Android share sheet. Those third-party apps process data under their own privacy policies.
6. Internet and Permissions
Minimal accessRoutinity does not request the Android INTERNET permission and is designed to work without network access for core features.
Routinity does not request dangerous runtime permissions such as location, contacts, camera, or microphone.
7. Backup and Import
Export / Import- Export creates a JSON backup that may contain your habit, focus, and review data.
- Import reads a JSON file you select and replaces current in-app records with imported records.
8. Android System Backup
System-controlledRoutinity enables Android standard app backup capability. Depending on your device settings and Android version, system-level backup services may back up app data to your personal cloud backup account (for example, Google backup).
These system backups are controlled by Android and your account/device settings, not by Routinity servers.
9. Data Retention
You control itYour data remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete data by:
- Using Reset All Data in app settings
- Uninstalling the app
- Deleting exported backup files from any location where you stored/shared them
10. Security
Android sandboxRoutinity relies on Android sandboxing and private app storage. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed 100% secure, especially after you export files to third-party apps or cloud services.
11. Children's Privacy
Under 13Routinity is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.
12. International Data Transfers
No server transferRoutinity does not transfer in-app data to developer-operated servers. If you export/share backups with third-party services, international transfers may occur under those services' terms and policies.
